For a day or two, this is a good, inexpensive base for the surrounding area and those really long walks. That’s the main point of coming here. Parking was okay if you’re a reasonably capable driver. The TV is small, but who comes for that? The staff were lovely. I got up two hours early and someone was still around, kindly offering me coffee. I paid for it later, of course. Lukewarm water didn’t bother me. My vegetarian salad, no judgment, folks, each to their own, came with a lot of cheap meat piled on top. At least it hadn’t been mixed in. People nearby seemed happy with their meals, but I still wouldn’t recommend the food.

The room was clean and warm, even in September, and the staff were polite. The food was amazing too. Just note that card payments are accepted for the room, but not at the restaurant. All in all, a good experience.

The attic room was poor. There was no toilet paper, the bed creaked, and the toilet had a strange smell. The location and view are good, but that’s about it. Breakfast wasn’t available.

We spent two nights here. The rooms are very dated, damp, and cold. With rain and outdoor temperatures around 10-13 degrees, our room wasn’t heated, so there was nowhere to warm up. The floors are uneven, the TV is tiny, and parking is limited. Hot water took five minutes to come through, and the last person showering had only lukewarm water, maybe it had run out. The food was almost okay, but the wait was very long. We ordered an omelette with burduf cheese, but they’d run out and served it with processed cheese instead. Several menu items weren’t available, including cremwurst, and they offered cabanos in its place.
