The portions are huge, and the goulash soup is my favorite. The local Papanas specialty is delicious too. Fantastic food!

We only booked at the last minute, but staying here turned into a really lovely surprise and the highlight of our month-long holiday. The room was spacious and very clean, and the restaurant was beautifully decorated. The food felt like proper traditional inn cooking and was amazing. There was even a burger bar. The place has a legend behind it, and it’s easy to reach from the main national road just outside Sibiu, with a big parking area. We stopped overnight to split up the drive from Orastie, after detouring to Sarmisegetusa, on our way to Bucharest.

The breakfast was good, although there wasn’t much variety. Rooms are large and spacious, with a charming rustic look. Everything was beautiful, clean, and well organized, and the price was very reasonable.

We only came for dinner, so I can’t say anything about the rooms. The menu has a huge range, including vegetarian and gluten options. Pretty sure it’s the heaviest menu in the world! The food was great, with generous portions and good value. Service was good too, and the atmosphere felt relaxed with great vibes.
