Hotel Saint Germain

There’s plenty to see nearby, with the Danube close by and some historical buildings around. The hotel itself is beautiful, very clean, and excellent value for money. The staff made me feel like part of a family. Rooms are big, and there’s generous parking, good internet, and a quiet restaurant serving great food, with a lovely terrace facing the river.

I celebrated my birthday here recently, and everyone in my party was delighted with the rooms, service, and food. The staff were attentive and friendly, and nothing seemed like too much trouble. Rooms were clean and modern, and you can ask for one overlooking the old Danube river. The menu combines Romanian and Italian food, with lots of well-balanced choices, all cooked to order. They also have a good wine selection. Thank you all for making my birthday special. I highly recommend Saint Germain, you won't be disappointed!

Most rooms don't have balconies, but there's one off the first-floor hallway where people can smoke and almost hug the high tree branches. 😎 The hotel is beautiful and very clean, with a lovely terrace for summer, spring, and autumn, and nice people. If I remember right, the food was quite good when I visited the terrace several times in the summer of 2019, and they had interesting drinks too. Because of the situation at the time, we only got coffees from the restaurant in the morning. Normally we'd have happily eaten breakfast there, but we were visiting family and stayed at the hotel to follow the pandemic restrictions.

The terrace looks out over the Danube, and the rooms were clean, cozy, and comfortable. Everyone on staff was helpful and friendly, though we did have one awkward moment with a waiter at breakfast. For a stop in Braila, this is a great place to stay.
