Really nice place. Five stars.

The windows face the hallway, which was the one slightly awkward thing. But for 150 lei, the place was more than decent for a stopover. There was air conditioning, a fridge, Wi-Fi, heating, hot water and parking, all working fine.

Room 3 was lovely, and my only regret is that I stayed just one night. The staff were welcoming and talked me through exactly how to get there on the phone. The football match outside was underway when I arrived at 10:15 PM, but I was worried for nothing, it was quiet and I couldn't hear the players. The room is small but feels spacious because of how the furniture is arranged, and I didn't bump into anything. The bed was very comfortable, with a thick mattress and crisp white sheets, just like my father used to make. The bathroom was spotless, with hot water, a modern shower and sink, and nice-smelling soap. There was a large wall-mounted TV with plenty of decent programs. I recommend it!

We never got to stay. I had booked through booking, but when we arrived there was no sign. While trying to find reception, we ended up among the rooms, which had no privacy since their windows faced the lobby. The area was starting to feel suspicious, so we called to check we were in the right place. The woman on the phone said someone would come show us where reception was. After waiting ten minutes in the sun at over 30 degrees with no one appearing, we left. A bad first accommodation experience in Brăila. I don't recommend it.
