Pensiunea Pinul

The sleeping setup wasn’t what we expected from the Booking description. We thought there would be two separate rooms, one with a double bed and one with three single beds, plus a shared area. Instead, it was one open space with two double beds and a single, which was difficult for our group: my husband and me, our four-year-old son, my brother, and my mother. With no doors or separation between the beds, privacy and different sleep schedules were hard to manage. There were also some practical issues. The toilet didn’t flush well, the shower drain overflowed onto the bathroom floor, and some lights and electrical outlets didn’t work. The stay was less comfortable as a result. Even so, this feels like a little paradise, with magical mountain views and a view of Bran Castle. The yard is wonderful for adults and children, with hammocks, sunbeds, swings, a playground, and a trampoline. The house is beautifully decorated, and the owners are incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful. You can feel the care and effort they’ve put into it. I suspect some things may have missed maintenance after the difficult recent years, including COVID, but the potential is huge and it already offers a lovely experience. I’m happy we stayed and glad we met such lovely people. I’d gladly return, and hope a little more attention to the practical details makes it perfect.

I booked the hotel for an event my client was holding, and it turned out to be a great experience for me, my client, and her course participants. Claudiu and his team gave us what we needed and made us feel very well accommodated. The location has a stunning view, and the hotel is full of art and personality. I highly recommend it and will definitely bring my family.
