Vila Monica

Vila Monica is set in a lovely, quiet landscape, and our rooms were clean and comfortable, with good-quality bedding. We had a great stay with friends. There are barbecue facilities, trampolines, swings for kids, a pavilion, and a fully equipped kitchen with dishes and a dishwasher. The hosts were kind, gave us plenty of information, and helped whenever we needed it. They also left us to enjoy our stay in peace. I'd happily recommend renting the whole place, with or without children. It's a calm, restful retreat.

The guesthouse is in a good location, but the mess is the main drawback. I visited a few years ago, and nothing seems to have changed. It looks like no money is being put back into the place because guests keep coming anyway. The price is probably lower because it hasn't been renovated in so many years.

I can't recommend this place. We were 17 people, adults and children, and the house was dirty: ants downstairs, cobwebs everywhere, a sticky kitchen, and bathrooms that hadn't been cleaned. When someone showered upstairs, water ran into the living room. We told the owner, who said we'd have to deal with it. We also reported the mess and were told they'd be more careful next time, but nothing was done. I left the house cleaner than it was when we arrived.

A lovely, very clean guesthouse with modern decor and white furniture, ideal for some time away. It has all the facilities, including a gazebo with a barbecue, a jacuzzi tub, and lights. I highly recommend it.
