The location is excellent, close to the center and lots of restaurants, coffee shops, churches and monuments. The neighborhood is calm, except the church nearby rings its clock every 30 minutes. There’s also a building in front with five antennas on the roof, and I woke with a headache, so you might too. When it was cold outside, the room was warm. Alongside the beds it had a small TV, washbasin, little table and chair, plus a small sort of hat stand for clothes. There are two shared toilets on each floor and they’re very clean. There’s a shower as well, but unfortunately the water wasn’t hot enough for me. If you’re looking for halal food, Sultan Mehmet and Amasi are both about a 20-minute walk away. Sultan Mehmet has very good Turkish food. I didn’t get a chance to try Amasi.

The rooms are basic and the bathroom is shared, but the location is great. Hungry? There’s a great kebab and shawarma place just around the corner.

The facilities are only average, but the apartment’s location right in the city center deserves five stars.

Rooms were clean, and the price is cheap. Really good spot near the old town.
