Casa Samurai

The only thing I’d skip is breakfast, it wasn’t anything special. The staff speak English. It’s simple, but has what you need for a 2-4 day stay: a cozy bed, quiet nights without interruptions, warmth, good water pressure and hot water, plus a fridge and kettle.

The service was great. One night, a small party in another room got noisy, so we called reception. Staff showed up within two minutes, talked to the guests, and quickly sorted it out. It’s affordable and in a great area, so I still recommend it despite giving it four stars. Just expect an older place, with basic but functional amenities.

The room was clean, warm, and comfortable, and the breakfast was a nice surprise. It was fresh, tasty, and a decent size. The services were great, and the location is good, about a 10 minute walk from the AFI shopping centre. For the price, it was exceptional. The one drawback was the window that wouldn’t open. The heat kept running while we were out, so when we got back it felt like a sauna. We could only cool it down by leaving the door open for quite a while.

I paid 440 RON on booking for two nights, but the room had a foul sewage smell as soon as I entered. I told reception I wanted to refuse it and get a refund. After speaking with the “boss,” she returned 400 RON in cash and said the difference was for taxes that couldn’t be refunded. That’s false and illegal. Avoid.
