We booked through Booking, but when we arrived the woman greeting us seemed seriously intoxicated. The room we were given didn’t even have sheets on the bed, and our two-year-old needed to nap that afternoon. It’s a shame, because the location seemed like it could be okay.

The climb from Brașov’s center is a little steep, though it’s nothing to worry about, and Uber makes the trip easy. We felt so good at Cedru Boutique. The place is comfortable, peaceful, and set up high with a beautiful view. Mrs. Magda is genuinely friendly and puts her heart into what she does. She helped with everything we needed or wanted. I wholeheartedly recommend it if you’re looking for comfort, quiet, and welcoming hosts for a getaway in Brașov. ❤️

The room was very large and clean, with a huge bed, a sofa bed, tables, chairs, and a minimalist look. But there was very little furniture: our suitcases stayed on the floor, and the toiletries bag had to sit on the toilet tank. The bathroom was spacious, but the shower drain didn’t work and it flooded every time. When I reported it, the only suggestion was to let the water run very slowly while showering. The water itself came out extremely hot. The location is in a quiet residential area on the slopes of Mount Tampa, but it’s on a busy uphill road with no parking. Where there is a sidewalk, it’s only about 50 cm wide, and the steep walk to the town center, 1.2 km away, felt very difficult and dangerous.

The place was clean and quiet, and we found the hosts available and welcoming. I wanted to hike Tampa on the trails, and Dna Magdalena walked with me as far as the trail, sharing all the details I needed. It’s five minutes by Bolt to Piața Sfatului. Walking up with luggage means tackling a slope, so I’d recommend that only if you’re fit. Otherwise, order a Bolt. I’m happy to recommend this place.
