Decebal

The dog at the entrance was friendly, soft, and cute, and we all petted it. That's the one thing I liked. Two stars for the stay, five for the dog. Never going back. Our room, 114, was a total mess and smelled disgusting. There were stains and blood on the wall and on the smoke detector, a poster was missing, and the bathroom door wouldn't close. Someone had left feces in the toilet, which smelled horrible, so we didn't shower. We had to eat at a restaurant on another street. The Wi-Fi was so bad it only worked in one room. Our door had an axe hole, and a blanket in the drawer smelled like rats. We couldn't sleep until 1 am because we heard a man breathing heavily in the bathroom. We sat in the hallway until it stopped. The curtains had cigarette holes. The outside looked fine, but the man at the counter seemed a little creepy, always smiling at his laptop, and the long hallway felt creepy too.

The hotel isn't close to the center, at least a 30-minute walk, though buses 17 and 5 stop right behind it and can take you into the city center. The rooms aren't stylish and the interior is a little cheesy, but it was warm and clean, which matter most to me. Breakfast is served on another street and was really poor, so I'd never book a room with breakfast.

I meant to stay one week and ended up here for three. The people were fantastic, and the English-speaking staff were very nice and couldn't have done more for me. There's coffee, and the food all around is so good and cheap. Thanks for a fantastic experience.
