The location is top notch, and breakfast was a decent meal with a fair choice, nothing extra. It would help to have cutlery and napkins set out so you can tell which tables have been cleaned when you’re looking for a seat. The room was spacious and clean, but the bathroom details were awkward: a small shower, a toilet crammed into a corner, and hardly any space below the mirror for toiletries. For anyone with accessibility issues, there’s no lift, and rooms on the top floor mean quite a workout. That didn’t bother me, but it’s worth knowing.

We came as a group of 13, and the location was very good, close to the square. Breakfast was great, and the rooms were clean and neat. My only complaint is that the beds were old and uncomfortable.

The location is perfect, close to the Old town, mountain trails for a hike, and lots of nearby restaurants. Aftar Stube was our favourite. We definitely recommend the place, as well as a visit to Brasov. We stayed for two nights and had a very pleasant time. The staff were friendly, the inner courtyard was nice, and the place felt cozy. The rooms, #116 & #117, were fairly spacious, clean, and fresh, and the beds were comfortable, especially for such an old building. Breakfast was the one thing that fell a little short. It wasn’t bad, and in fact it was the best we had on our trip in Romania, but it didn’t meet western European standards for us. We missed newly baked bread, fresh fruit, and freshly pressed juice.

Of all the hotels we tried in Brașov and elsewhere in Romania, this was one of my favorites. The location was spot on, the service was great, and the rooms were clean and nice.
