Nikolas Haus Brasov Villa

We left a day early after two nights because we barely slept. It was an awful experience, like a prison room. The building has no corridors and everything is tiled, so sound carries badly. We were woken the first night by people returning, then the second night by a family checking in late. From the ground floor, upstairs noise was especially bad, with kids running around. The windows face a walled street, and traffic noise comes through too. The air conditioning wasn't working. The street-facing windows are frosted, so there's no view. The room wasn't very clean, and the bathroom smelled of eggs. I raised all this with the owner, who said I should have told them on the first night, as if I could have known we'd be woken again the next one.

Caution!!! We booked a room with air conditioning for two adults, but got a low room measuring 1 meter by 5 meters with no air conditioning. You have to bend over to walk and we hit our heads. It was too hot to sleep, and getting out of bed woke my partner. Photos attached.

The house has wonderful energy, and I found myself wanting to stay in instead of going sightseeing. It dates from the end of the 1600s and has been carefully renovated with very good quality materials. For my first B&B booking, there were no hidden defects: no odd smells despite the old house, a clean, roomy shower, windows that shut tightly and block the street noise, lots of natural light, an enchanting view, and plenty of space. There was parking in the yard and a cozy porch. It's also close to the old center and to the best ice ream shop in Brasov. I'll definitely come back :)

Work or relaxing both felt comfortable and peaceful in this inspiring setting. The conference room is in a cellar of a historic building, right in the heart of old Brasov, and has all the modern amenities. The host was lovely, services were great, and getting there by car, public transport, or on foot was easy.
