What we appreciated was how clean the place was. For 250 lei a night, though, it felt expensive for what you get. There was no fridge or AC in the room, and the windows had no insect screens. Booking said parking was on the hotel premises, but the only place to park was in front of the hotel at the roundabout. The woman who answered the door was very unpleasant. We didn’t mind that she didn’t speak English, but she could have been a little nicer. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

We found the rooms spacious and spotless, with comfortable beds, a TV, and a mini fridge. The garden was peaceful and lovely, and the hosts had a warm, genuine mom-and-pop feel. They welcomed us so warmly and were always ready to help with questions or anything we needed. Their delicious meals, made with products from their own production, added a personal touch. Pensiunea Casa Albă in Ghimbav is a charming retreat, with comfort, hospitality, and local character that made for a memorable stay.

We booked two nights in July, but the price charged at the property was excessive, RON 240 per night, with breakfast costing extra. The owner was rude and took advantage of two older women who couldn’t argue about the price difference. When we asked for a printed bill, the owner kept putting it off, saying it would be issued before our 6 AM departure. It never was. Avoid this place if you can. There are better places to stay in Ghimbav.

I live in Kolombia, and this was my first visit to Romania. The hotel and its kind workers were part of a good experience for me. Go there.
