The neighbourhood is quiet, there's plenty of parking, and you get your own entrance. The room was clean and nice, and the people were very kind. I'd stay again next time I'm in Brașov.

I rang to check whether a single room was free for one night, since I wanted to pay with vouchers. The gentleman who answered quoted a price 70 lei above the Booking app rate. I understand there may still be discounts on Booking; I just wanted to know why the difference was so large and see if we could negotiate a little, even if it only meant getting part of the amount taken off. I was probably prepared to pay the quoted price, but his response was in a very irritating, aggressive tone: “So what? What do you want?” I found the whole exchange really disappointing. He didn't say hello at the start or goodbye at the end, and just hung up on me. This is my first negative review in 32 years, which says a lot about how that “gentleman” behaved. Still, I can't say I'm surprised, given the similar reviews below. It comes down to treating people like people. I've stayed in poor places before, but met people with common sense, and that made all the difference. 🙂
