Stupina

The food was wonderful, and the setting and surroundings are beautiful and peaceful. The owners clearly care about their guests and are thoughtful throughout. The woman who owns the place is especially lovely, so sweet and kind. There was a party when I arrived, though, and it stayed pretty loud until around 1 a.m. Otherwise, it's a nice place to stay.

The owners are warm and accommodating, and the big green garden with its little koi pond and pool makes for a calm, almost meditative spot in the middle of the city. It's a relaxing, quiet, green place, and worked very well for my business trip. The location is handy for both the centre and industrial area, with public transport available, though the gaps between services can be long. If you're driving, parking is inside the fenced grounds and included in the room rate. My room was spacious and very clean, with a double bed, shower bathroom, TV, and AC. A bedside lamp would have been useful. Breakfast was excellent, and the owners were happy to accommodate special requests. Some food and drinks, including elderberry and red currant sodas, are made in house. At almost $60 a night it's not cheap, but if you can afford it, I thought it was money well spent.

Our kids loved spending time in the garden and playground, and Yoana made fresh, tasty food each morning, a lovely start to the day. The hotel was extremely clean and well looked after. Yoana and Morris were charming and welcoming, and made our family feel at home. We recently stayed at Stupina and have only good things to say.

The breakfast and dinner were excellent, and the owners were so friendly. I was very happy we chose this clean, beautiful place for our family visit to Brasov and the surrounding area. It was clean from the entrance right through to the rooms. I'd definitely come back.
