Thomas Apartments

The decor inside was great, and it felt comfortable 😊.

They’ve done a nice job.

The apartments themselves were nice, but we ran into several problems. We rented three of the four units as a group, and since we arrived at different times, getting in was awkward: the owner gave the entrance passwords to just one of us, even though we each had work and other things to manage. We were also told the parking around the building was free. After finding the spaces occupied by neighbors, we called and parked there anyway. Within 20 minutes, local “bison” had forced our wipers, and another car was blocked. It seems the spaces were paid after all, though we had been told they were free. Cleanliness could have been better, perhaps because of the pandemic. There was lots of dust in the bedrooms, the coffee maker still had coffee in it and was dirty, the TV remote didn’t work, and the toilet lid was broken. We also couldn’t find anywhere to put the rubbish. The complex only allows rubbish disposal with a card, and six people’s waste over four days adds up. The stay could have gone better.

The apartment was lovely and the area was quiet. Not having a washing machine kept it from being perfect, and the lack of air conditioning in some cases might be a downside. We’ll come back.
