Hotel Papion

An AC unit mounted right below my window made awful noise all night, so I barely slept. The place also wasn’t very clean. I wouldn’t recommend it unless there’s nothing else in the area.

The food is great, the atmosphere is nice, and the bathrooms are clean and tidy. The bar is okay too, though they don’t know some cocktails, even if they can make the usual ones. DJs will take requests, but sometimes they act like jerks. They play recent songs rather than the usual party DJ kind, and those tracks don’t really get everyone dancing. It could work for a birthday party, but I’d skip hiring the DJs and bring your own music, or use YouTube.

At 9:20 in the morning I waited outside the “hotel” for 20 minutes because the staff were asleep. By 10 we could barely get a coffee, since the machines weren’t working, so we canceled our reservation and left. Definitely overpriced.

A very odd experience. There was usually no staff around, and in our double room one AC unit worked while the other didn’t. As others have mentioned, the shower tub in some rooms doesn’t drain properly.
