Deluxe Apts Rin Grand

At YamaLuxe Apartments, I had reserved parking space no. 20. I went to move the marker and triangle so I could park, and the whole thing took less than a minute. The employee at the main entrance, who also deals with parking, spoke loudly and rudely, accusing me of taking the space when my car wasn’t beside him, even though I was just about to bring it in. That was an unpleasant way to be treated at a place to stay. I hope management talks with the staff so this doesn’t happen again.

We were a group of nine and booked four rooms, but the apartments we got were on different floors and didn’t have the same amenities. Our family was missing towels and cups, and we were only given bedding for two. The pillows were lumpy, the kettle smelled awful, and the apartment had a bad smell like cheap laundry detergent. There was parking and we received a free entry card, but our rooftop garage had a 1.9-meter height limit, so we couldn’t drive in. The renovation looked good and the appliances worked, but we didn’t have the things we needed. Eventually we got a towel, cup, kettle, and decent bedding.

There were seeds in the bed, and we were given only two towels, one large and one small. I was especially upset because we were traveling with our 5-month-old baby, and the linen looked like it hadn’t been changed for who knows how long. When we asked the woman who gave us the room to send someone to change it and bring towels, she ignored us completely. I’m totally disappointed and wouldn’t recommend this place.

We left Bucharest on a sour note after an early morning argument over 20 euros. They clamped our car in the hotel parking area, saying we had taken two spaces. The hotel then said the lot wasn’t theirs, even though we’d paid them, while the parking lot people said it was private and unrelated to the hotel. There were police checking the place all the time because of how many people were staying there. It left me wondering whether the police meant we were safe or whether something was still wrong. Balkan business, and an unpleasant departure.
