There was a cockroach in the bathroom, and the room itself wasn't clean. The breakfast was poor, staff weren't friendly, and the reception was usually unattended. We stayed three nights and the room wasn't cleaned during that time. When it came time to pay, we were told the card machine wasn't working and asked to pay by bank transfer or cash. I'd already booked through booking.com with my credit card, but I sent a transfer after getting home. A few days later I found that booking.com had also charged my card, so I paid twice. The hotel hasn't replied to booking.com and seems to be keeping the duplicate payment.

We were happy with what we paid. It takes about 15-20 minutes to walk to the centre, and the room was made up with fresh towels whenever we asked. Breakfast was enough, though the coffee and tea machine seemed broken every day and there wasn't much choice. The booking.com photo showed one double bed, but we got two separate beds. There wasn't another room available, so the receptionist helped push them together.

The location is great, and there are plenty of places to park on the street. Beyond that, there wasn't much to like: the carpet was dirty, there were ants in the room and cockroaches in the bathroom, and there was heavy mold by the shower. Breakfast was poor, just about okay at best.

The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the staff are kind and very helpful.

The beds and bathroom were nice, and the location was good. Still, the air conditioning was old and broken, we had no hot water for one night, and communication was difficult because no staff were around after 4 p.m. Parking was another issue: only three spaces in front are reserved, and the street is packed with cars.
