The room was clean and tidy, the Wi-Fi worked well, and both the staff and owner were friendly. The location was good, too. Still, the price felt high for what was offered. There were some practical problems: my room had just one power outlet, and there was no shower gel or shampoo. The curtains let in too much morning light, didn’t cover the full window, and left the room visible to other guests. The radiators weren’t heating, which was uncomfortable in the cold mountain weather, even in summer. Security was my biggest concern. No one watched reception, where the keys to every room were kept, so another guest could potentially take a key and enter a room. The front door was always open, and I didn’t see any CCTV. Parking was disorganized, with no assigned spaces; on the first night someone blocked my car, and I had to ask the owner to move theirs. There was also nobody around when I wanted to check in or out.

The villa looks lovely from outside and the view is great, but the inside was disappointing. The saying about a pretty fence and a leopard inside comes to mind. For what the gentleman offers, the price for one night is too high. Fishing doesn’t bring in customers, unfortunately. Such a shame, because of the location.

The hosts were especially helpful and easy to reach. When we arrived, they checked by phone that the rooms were warm and comfortable, and called again to make sure everything was all right. They also gave us detailed, warmly offered tips about restaurants and walking routes. The place itself was quiet and very clean, with mountain views and a convenient spot between the Kalinderu slope and the Lidl store. Rooms were spacious, warm, and had access to a shared balcony. The bed was comfortable even for me, despite my back problems. There’s also a shared kitchen with everything needed and a large fridge. A 10+.
