The duck and ribs were excellent, and both came from local producers rather than the freezer. I haven't had ribs this good in more than ten years, since working with a chef I knew. For me, this is the best food in Durău.

We waited over an hour for our food and I was freezing by the time it arrived. Fresca is a much better choice.

After a long hike, we stopped here for dinner. Both soups were good, and the house wine was nice. The yogurt ice cream and Medovik were especially great. Our server was so pleasant and polite. Please pass our greetings to the Moldovan chef 🥰

It stays busy, so booking ahead is probably a good idea, though the staff were friendly and quick with our order. There’s a good mix of traditional and more familiar dishes, and the food was very good and locally sourced. I wouldn’t recommend the lemonade, though, it tasted like bottled lemon juice. Quite a good experience overall.

There was always a table available, and the prices seemed reasonable. The food was very good, with plenty of choice even at breakfast. Service took quite a while, though, and there was no running water in the men’s toilet for washing hands.
