This little retreat in Cheia is awesome, though a bit more expensive. The restaurant really lives up to its name, with tasty organic food, comfortable surroundings and a homey atmosphere. The hosts were extremely pleasant, the staff well trained, and the other guests friendly, open and curious. It brought to mind the height of luxury for old money folks at Hotel Onyx in Rînca, Gorj. I'd share it only with people I love!

After a full day in the mountains, our group of 8 adults and 6 kids stopped here to eat. The food quality, delivery time and friendly service were all good, and the prices were good too. The choice was limited, though, with half the menu unavailable.

The rooms are cozy and warm, and the staff are nice. Breakfast is available for an extra 30 Lei.

The staff were awful. I'm not fussy, but they don't know how to treat tourists or run a tourism business. We were told we'd have a particular room, and that was confirmed by email, but when we arrived it had been given to other tourists. The reception says checkout is at 12 o'clock, yet we actually had to leave at 11:30.

Food and drink prices were average, but there were few food options, maybe because the area is so quiet. The accommodation was well priced and the rooms were clean. We slept in a four bed room, and it was hot during the night.
