During an agricultural business exhibition, I stayed at Grand Hotel Napoca and had an excellent visit. It works really well for business travelers going to meetings, corporate events or exhibitions in Cluj, and the location is ideal. The staff were welcoming and professional throughout. My room was spacious and comfortable, the atmosphere elegant, the service very professional, and breakfast was excellent. I'd gladly stay again on my next trip. Definitely one of Romania's best business hotels.

I asked the front desk to set the AC to 19C, but they said 21C was the lowest setting. That's too warm for me to sleep well. Just absurd.

The staff made our New Year's Eve at Grand Hotel Napoca feel special, welcoming and attentive from check-in right through checkout. The venue was lively, the four-course meal was superb, and the DJ kept everyone dancing all night. The traditional Romanian music and dancers added a lovely extra touch. An unforgettable way to welcome the New Year! ✨🥂👌❤️

There are much better places to stay in Cluj, and I'll choose one of them when I return. If you're visiting from Western Europe or the US, I'd avoid this hotel. The so-called Grand Hotel doesn't feel grand anymore, more like an 1980s time warp. The rooms are worn, the fittings dated, and there were exposed cables in the in-room heating system. Breakfast was broad in range but poor and basic, and the hot dishes were only lukewarm. The restaurant, which seemed to operate only at breakfast, had a morgue-like feel. Older men in black suits watched what was going on with grumpy expressions and didn't interact with guests.
