We had a great, comfortable stay at Transylvania Hostel, and the place was clean and well run. The inner courtyard was my favorite, with its private gardens and spots to sit. Breakfast was included, which I hadn't realized, so that was a pleasant surprise. They enforce quiet hours seriously, which helps guests and the neighbors. The hostel had a lively mix of travelers from all over, and it was an interesting place to be. We booked two private rooms with a shared bathroom in a lovely ground-floor suite. It had a locked exterior door, plus separate lockable doors to each bedroom. The suite could sleep six: one room had a full-size bed, and the other had two queen beds. It's close to the city center. There's a parking garage a few blocks away, and it was cheaper than nearby street parking.

The one letdown was breakfast: just a bag of bread sitting on the table and a pot of jam. Still, I had a blast staying here. The hostel is right in the town's City Centre, so you can see a lot on foot, and the staff are super helpful. It's clean and feels cosy. Lovely place to stay!

My friend and I are from Chicago, and when we had a problem with our room, the staff came to help right away. They were great. The room was clean and comfortable, and Cluj's downtown is very close for walking, getting food, or shopping. From the airport, buses 5 or 8 make it super easy to get here.

The staff were amazing from before my arrival through to after I left. They helped me work out how to get around beforehand, shared good recommendations during my stay, and checked that I reached my next location safely afterward. It's a very nice, central hostel with a large 8 bed dorm. Showers, WiFi, and breakfast were all good. Nothing to complain about.

I had such a good time that I added a third night after originally booking two. The room was quiet at night, and the place was clean and spacious. Staff were really friendly and helpful, while the facilities made it easy to relax and socialize. There were nightly outings to local restaurants where you could meet other guests, plus a ping pong table and a big kitchen.
