Casa Hrisicos

The host was welcoming and easy to talk to, and the rooms were spacious, lovely, and very clean. The design is modern, including the bathroom, and the beds are comfortable. Right in the middle of the Old Centre, it's perfectly located. A well-earned five stars, I couldn't ask for more.

Waking up to the views of the ocean, the square, and the churches is a delight. It's in a great spot overlooking Ovidiu square, with major attractions and plenty of good places to eat just outside. The staff are lovely and respond to requests quickly.

I've never stayed at a better hotel in Romania. The modern furniture, complete equipment, and spotless rooms make for excellent accommodation. The staff are great too. Casa Hrisicos shows that travelers looking for the best experience can get quality service. I highly recommend spending time here.

The noise from the bar next door was the worst part. It played music until 4 or 5 in the morning, so loudly that closing every window still made it sound like the music was in our room. We got about three hours of sleep and left early in the morning. We'd booked two nights, but even getting inside for check-in took a ten-minute wait outside. The person who greeted us spoke only about ten words of Romanian and English combined. In a Romanian city, having no staff in the building at any time who can communicate with guests in Romanian is ridiculous. The hotel was far too hot, and the room's air conditioning didn't work. The shower gel and shampoo bottles were empty and hadn't been replaced after the previous guests. I could write a novel about how ridiculous this stay was. I'd give it zero stars if I could. Avoid!
