8/10
The reception staff were very helpful and found somewhere to keep my backpack, and the WiFi worked well in my room. It’s conveniently close to the railway station. My room was clean apart from some small butterflies. The downside is that this is one of the older parts of the city, not ideally placed for restaurants, bars, or the beach, though there’s a bus station nearby.

The rooms were small and smelly, and both the rooms and hallway were dirty. There were cockroaches in the kitchen. The furniture was so old it almost broke when I sat on it, and the staff were mediocre at best.

It’s near the railway station, and breakfast was good. At night there’s nothing around, so you need a bus to get downtown or to the beach.

For Romania it was relatively cheap, but the hotel felt shabby and smelled a little. There’s no minibar, just warm beer for sale at reception. Breakfast was awkward, and the coffee was absolutely awful. The staff were okay.

A little tricky to find, and parking was awkward, but the hotel was okay overall.
