The hotel itself was great, with friendly staff, clean rooms, very comfortable beds, and a good breakfast. The nearby amusement park was another story. It was noisy, felt unsafe for kids, and was very dirty, with old machines and carousels. The lake could be lovely to look out at if that “fun” spot were replaced with a clean green park.

The location by the lake is lovely, and it’s quiet during the day with no traffic noise. The hotel has plenty of free parking outside and indoors. But a fun park surrounds it, blasting loud music every day, including weekdays, until very late. It made sleeping difficult, so I’d avoid this place if you want a quiet break. Inside, the hotel is new, modern, and very nice, with spacious rooms and a generous breakfast. The staff are friendly and speak English very well. Rooms have balconies, though they’re so small you can hardly call them that. The elevators are an interesting feature in the open center of the hotel, but there are only two and they work independently, so the one you call comes, even if the other is closer. The room brochure advises against drinking tap water, which seemed strange for a hotel like this.

Andrea at reception is the best. My king room, 709, was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed. I could walk to everything I needed, including a 24-hour supermarket, rock halle, phoenix, city mall, and the beach, though taking a bolt was an option too. The lifts were fast, the free Wi-Fi worked well, and the air conditioning was excellent. The cleaners knew what to do without me having to explain. My room wasn’t too noisy, and I didn’t need to use the locker.

For a business trip by the beach, the location suited me well. The bed was comfortable, though the room was just okay. My towels were frayed and clearly old, and the shower had no hot water, although the sink water was warm. Dogs chasing each other in the park at 2 am are hard to avoid.
