Vila Montana

I've stayed at Vila Montana many times when visiting Constanta. It's a family-style motel with 12 rooms, between Constanta and the Mamaia beachfront, at the entrance to Holidays Village (sat de vacanta). The rooms are around 25m2, clean, and have spacious bathrooms with shower cabins. There are also two small apartments on the 3rd floor. Rooms come with a TV and fridge, though you have to bring your own drinks. The beds are average and could use an upgrade, but they're fine for a few days. All rooms have air conditioning and WiFi, and parking is free. The location is very convenient, but in July and August you can hear music from nearby bars and restaurants until 1:00 at night. The staff are generally two women, and the friendly owner usually comes in the mornings. There isn't breakfast, but Turkish Sofra restaurant is about 20meters away, with the pubs and restaurants of Sat Vacanta all around. There's also a 24-hour food shop and pharmacy across from the hotel. You can walk to Mamaia beach, the campus university, or the city, or take a taxi. The nightly price is very reasonable for the location. There's a balcony and couch on the 1rst floor if you need to work on a laptop. It does the job as a motel, no more and no less.
