Da Boss

Clean rooms and a short walk to the beach were the only positives. We booked a balcony room with breakfast included, but were given a room without a balcony. The owner then said breakfast wasn't included, even though it was clearly listed on our reservation. I assume the confusion was connected to breakfast no longer being included from August 1st. Booking may share some blame, but they seem unable to handle reservations coming through other sites, and the overbooking is serious. The owners showed no kindness and had no idea what customer service means, especially when the problem was their fault. I hope they change their attitude if they want more returning customers.

No one was ever at reception, so there was nobody to ask for help. When I called the number because it was the only way to reach them, they spoke to us nastily and said we should have waited at reception. We'd already waited around 30 minutes with no one showing up. The room wasn't the one we booked, and they refused to change it. The sheets were dirty, there was almost no soap, and we waited an hour for toilet paper after asking for it. The lock was in such bad shape that we could barely get the key in, and the staff were rude. Breakfast was listed as included in our reservation, but they said Booking had made a mistake. After a lot of arguing, they finally gave us whatever they had. Terrible experience, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

I usually don't expect much, but this stay was beyond what I could have imagined :) We booked and prepaid for an apartment with a balcony on Booking. When we arrived, they offered us two small rooms without balconies, saying the apartment had already been given to someone else. The rooms were listed at a lower price, so we politely asked for the difference back. After two days of trying to find someone to discuss it with, we were told the rooms actually cost more and that the website price wasn't accurate. The room was quite dirty. There was a blood stain and small traces of urine on the bedsheet, and no soap in the bathroom. The door only stayed locked with the key, otherwise it swung wide open, and the air conditioning didn't work properly. I'd sincerely recommend staying away from the Da boss guesthouse.

If you need anything, good luck finding someone. Nobody answered our calls, and when we arrived, nobody responded. We were told the receptionists were probably asleep. The staff were unserious, looked at us with disgust, and had such a horrible attitude that we tried to avoid them. We'd booked breakfast through Booking, but they refused to provide it. After nearly having to negotiate, they gave us whatever they could find. We were also put in a cheaper room than the one we booked, with dirty linen, faulty locks, and poor conditions. I wouldn't recommend this place at all unless you want a stressful, frustrating vacation. I regret staying here.
