We booked based on the much better reviews on Booking, and were moved from hotel Flormang 3* to nearby Royal Flormang 4*. After staying there, I can’t say Royal Flormang deserves four stars. Three at most, in my opinion. The place felt bare-bones, and the posters and flyers about EU Funds financing made me wonder if corners had been cut because they had limited funds of their own. The main problem was the heat. There was no air conditioning, and on 28/06 it was 40 °C outside and 35 °C in the room in the afternoon. Overnight, it was still 25 °C inside while 30 °C outside. I don’t think this was just our room, since it seemed to be an issue throughout the hotel. We slept with the windows open, which meant sun and trolley noise from 5 AM. I can’t comment on the other building, but perhaps Flormang 3* is better than Royal Flormang 4*, or perhaps those reviews are fake. There was more to this bad experience, but I’m glad we only stayed one night. I won’t return and wouldn’t recommend it to a friend.

This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Spending one night there felt like being in a stranger’s old house.

The place was extremely filthy, and breakfast was poor. There was a fridge in the room. I should add that my parents were the tourists staying there.

There was hot water only until noon, the sheets were dirty, and breakfast was worthless. A lousy place.

I was there for one night, November 29 to 30, 2024. The staff were quite friendly, and the room was very nice and in decent condition. The location worked well too: it’s near the tram stop, with the city center about 10-15 minutes away, and Promenada Mall and plenty of shops close by.
