The rooms aren’t luxurious, but they feel authentic and have the quiet and comfort needed for a pleasant stay. Transport to and from the location was arranged with the host in advance, at times that suited us. We wanted to see as much of the Delta as possible and break from our daily routine, and the location by the water and promenade, good food and excursions arranged on request were just what we’d hoped for. Our guide shared lots about the area and local customs, listened to our interests, and took us along some narrow, rarely used canals while keeping us safe. We’ll definitely return :)

The hygiene was awful, with dirt everywhere and cockroaches wandering around in groups. There were cobwebs in the bathroom. The room seemed to ventilate itself through the holes and cracks around the window and balcony door, so there was no need to open them. The food was terrible too, with cold dishes, baked hair and more.
