Lovely place, the food is awesome and the service is good. I’d recommend it.

The traditional dishes at the restaurant were delicious, and there’s a lot to do, from the pool and spa to ping-pong, fishing and tours of the Danube Delta. The staff were friendly and helpful, and my room was spacious and sparkling clean. Hotel Sunrise felt like a great authentic experience. The area is quiet and peaceful, but the rooms and windows aren’t soundproof, so noise from neighboring rooms carries. Waiting for food took quite a while, since they only had two waiters.

The main building’s rooms are clean, fairly spacious and modern, and the restaurant has a nice design. We ate better at other restaurants, though the waiter here was okay. The trips cost a lot compared with other options, and renting a kayak or even a bike felt expensive, especially with the hotel so far out in the village. The two women at reception could be friendlier and more communicative with guests. Still, it’s a nice place.

We had a good first family trip in the delta. The location is fantastic, the facilities are great, and the rooms are comfortable considering how remote it is. There’s a small spa and an outdoor pool, and the food is decent, with a clear focus on fish. We had some trouble with the bill. Maybe it was because we’d bought a special package and the staff weren’t sure what it included. It was unpleasant to pay the full amount three months in advance and then feel we had to insist to get the services we’d paid for.
