Pensiunea Ioana

One of the worst experiences I've had. We booked two rooms through Booking, with payment on arrival and an agreed arrival window of 15:00 to 20:00. At around 14:00, the reservation was cancelled without explanation. We got to the property at about 15:30, but they refused to honor the Booking price of 270 RON for both rooms and asked for 300 RON instead. We guessed she was trying to avoid honoring her obligations to us and Booking, since handling it outside Booking meant charging us more and paying Booking nothing. Shame on you, Ioana! And there was more. One of the rooms for two people was awful. It had been advertised with AC, but there was no air conditioning, just the little device shown in the picture, which didn't help at all. The temperature around this time is ~35 degrees. The mattress was very uncomfortable too, and the walls were stained. If you're thinking of booking a room here, please don't.

The location was very convenient, and our room at Pensiunea Ioana was spacious and very clean. We stayed July 21, 2016, and had a comfortable visit. Manager Mihaela was friendly and accommodating. We paid extra for breakfast, which was well prepared, had a good range of options, and was very good value. I'd highly recommend Pensiunea Ioana.

The host really pays attention and does what she can to help with your needs. I found the booklet in my room especially useful, with places to visit nearby and spots to eat in town. The place is very clean, and a great base for exploring the surrounding area.

The rooms are very clean, and Pensiunea Ioana is quite well located for the Curtea de Arges city centre. The street-facing rooms can be noisy from the road. We were on the ground floor, and the sound of toilets flushing upstairs woke us at night.
