It was hard to sleep with the busy rail track and main road so close by. The room was filthy, with old dirty sheets and a blanket that smelled like a wet dog. The furniture was old, the mirror was broken, and the walls were stained.

A pleasant motel with a lovely view of Deva's ancient fortress.

The host was kind and very welcoming, and the whole place was clean. The rooms were spacious and very clean too. Cash was the only payment option. It’s fairly close to the center and Deva fortress. The street-facing rooms get some noise from the nearby road and railway, but it didn’t keep us from sleeping well. A nice spot for a few days in Deva.

The rooms have been renovated and are air-conditioned, with a hairdryer in the bathroom. It’s about five minutes from Deva train station, Aqualand, and the Deva Citadel.

I called late, but they were still able to check me in. I needed a rest and a hot shower, but there was no hot water at all, and the night was very, very cold. The place is also close to the railway. For 150 lei, I expected at least a somewhat decent room. Next time I’ll sleep in the car 🫣
