Villa Venus is a lovely, quiet place to stay, and I’d recommend it. There’s parking and a lovely garden, and the staff are kind and very helpful. They gave witty local food recommendations, helped carry my luggage when needed, and even helped book airport transfers for when I met up with someone on the next leg of my journey. That was above-and-beyond kindness. The room I’m writing this from is huge, with lots of open space and no cramped feeling. One area has a desk, sofa, wingback chair, and coffee table. There’s also a king-size bed, a massage chair, a small room with wardrobes and a sofa, and a huge bathroom with a soaking tub.

The room was spacious, with a very comfortable bed and a large bathtub that was perfect for relaxing. The hotel has a charming, cozy vintage look that feels tasteful and elegant without being cliché.
