The room was clean when we checked in, and the reception and dining staff were friendly. Breakfast was good and ran until 11, checkout was at noon, and we had a mini fridge plus coffee and tea in the room. The neighborhood was pleasant, with restaurants and a store within walking distance. Still, the room price was two and a half times what local rentals cost, seemingly just for the Danube view. Housekeeping came in, took an empty bottle from the nightstand, but left the bed unmade, the bathroom uncleaned, and the trash in place. The bed and soaps were mediocre, too. We were glad street parking was free and felt safe, since parking in the hotel lot would have cost extra. With that price difference, none of the positives make it worthwhile. Do yourself and the local community a favor and rent a room locally.

We had a lovely view of the Danube from a very comfortable room, and the breakfast buffet was great. It was the perfect place to celebrate finishing our Via Transilvanica thru-hike.

The room was very clean, and the hotel offers private parking and Wi-Fi. Its position is excellent, and the service was very good. The breakfast was weak but decent. The building and the area around it need serious investment to take the experience to the next level.

Good value, with kind staff, a clean room, and a nice design. The shower had no curtain, and after using it, half the bathroom floor was wet. I'm not sure a curtain would help much, since the bathroom is also designed for people with disabilities.

It's an older hotel, but it's been renovated. The staff are friendly and nice, and for Drobeta I'd say it's the best place to stay. Overall, a pretty decent hotel I'd recommend.
