The hosts are so welcoming that staying here feels like visiting friends, even though it’s a guesthouse. The rooms have all the comforts you need, and the fish dishes are delicious, though the host is happy to prepare other food too. There’s a jetty for trips into the Danube Delta, making it a great spot for both a vacation and sport fishing.

The rooms are clean, though small and simple. It’s also a handy place to arrange a boat tour in the Danube Delta, with plenty of boatmen nearby to talk to. For a traditional meal, try the catfish tripe soup or the other specialty, storceag, a rich fish soup.

The family looking after the place is warm and lovely. The rooms are clean and nice, and there’s plenty of very good food, with really generous portions. A lovely spot to relax.

The trips to wild spots around the Danube Delta were extraordinary. It’s a very nice place to stay, with excellent local food and wine.
