The room advertised as having a balcony was actually on the ground floor, with a terrible view and burglar bars. It made us feel like we were in jail. The staff were cranky, and the older cleaning lady got into a conflict with us because she didn't like where we'd parked the car.

The staff were friendly, and the hotel is close to the beach. But during our four-night stay the sheets weren't changed even once, and the cleaning was very poor, especially in the bathroom, where you'd expect the highest standards. I've worked in hotels, so I know how it should be. Two stars can mean fewer amenities, but it shouldn't mean less cleaning. For what we paid, the least we should have had was a clean room.

We only booked because it was 3 a.m. when we arrived. It's a two-star hotel for a reason. They try to make the place look nice, but the poor reconstruction work is easy to spot. The restaurant outside also played the same song loudly over and over for hours.
