The only things I appreciated were the clean sheets and having a parking spot. The studio was near the beach, though we came off-season and that wasn't a priority. It was furnished to the bare standard for four adults, with no central heating, just an uncovered hole in the wall. Thankfully, we could use the air conditioner to warm up. The lack of winter heating had swollen the furniture so much that the wardrobe doors wouldn't open, and the fridge looked like it had been through several owners. The bathroom was pitch dark, so you needed your phone flashlight to shower. Its fan had been 'fixed' by the workers and did run, but not effectively. As for the welcome, one of the people handling bookings could use a lesson in hospitality. I sent our expected arrival time on WhatsApp while we were on the road. When I called to say we'd be there soon, the lady yelled that she had been waiting only for me. Her attitude changed after she saw our car. Then she said she'd upgraded us from a studio for three adults to one for four, though I'd booked a four-adult studio from the start. There were a few other little lies she tried to feed us, apparently because we don't live right near the city's exit.
