Pensiunea Zaharia

Mr. and Mrs. Zaharia made me feel at home and were perfect hosts. The guesthouse is conveniently close to Lidl, the train station, and the center. Rooms are spacious and nicely furnished, with a refrigerator and TV. Everything was spotlessly clean inside and out, and the kitchen had all the essentials. I was pleasantly surprised to find a coffee machine, with coffee and sugar provided. I met guests who return year after year, which makes sense, since the hosts do everything they can to make the stay comfortable and enjoyable.

This was our second year in a row at the villa, and we stayed around 12-13 days again. If we didn’t like the place and the owner, would we have returned? I don’t know what some of the other reviews are talking about. Maybe they went to the wrong place. The owners are attentive to guests’ needs, though they can be fickle. Linen is changed about every three days, and cleaning happens daily, including taking away the rubbish and replacing the toilet paper. There are four white bath towels in the room: two large shower towels and two regular ones, about 50 by 100 cm. I even asked my wife if she’d brought white towels from home, because we have the same ones and I thought they were hers. Someone said there are four parking spaces. Seriously? There are ten, and we had no parking trouble either year. We liked it enough last year to recommend it to friends, and they were very happy with the cleanliness and how quiet it was. They said they hadn’t stayed somewhere so quiet and clean in a long time. I’ll stop here before someone accuses me of advertising. 😁 Honestly, I don’t believe those negative reviews. I recommend this place. Respect!

We were a family with two children. The guesthouse was clean, and they cleaned every day when needed. The main drawback was noise from the plasterboard partition walls. At night, when the room was quiet, we could hear what was going on next door, especially snoring. I asked for an extra bed, which was a folding one. It was so unstable that I nearly fell out the first night. For the next five nights, I slept on the mattress instead.

The rooms weren’t cleaned at all during our stay, and guests end up fighting over the guesthouse’s four parking spaces. The two owners live there and watch the customers’ every move. They’re rude and unserious, treating guests as though they came off the street to live there. The owner quoted one price over the phone, then asked for more when we arrived, claiming they’d got it wrong. You can find better conditions elsewhere for the same price. Don’t spoil your vacation by staying here.
