Pensiunea Ioana

We came through the area without a room booked, and found this guesthouse on Google. A very kind lady answered when I called, and there was one room left for the three of us, so I reserved it. The owner greeted us with a smile when we arrived, then showed us the room and the grounds. It's a peaceful place with a pool, gazebo, barbecue and a spot to relax. Deserves more than five stars, highly recommend!

The hosts were so warm that we felt like family, and the place has a lovely, peaceful energy. Our four days there were full and happy, and we'll definitely return, since there's still plenty to see and do with them. The accommodation was impeccable, and prices are decent for a stay of 2, 3 or 4 days. There are mountains, beautiful scenery, monasteries, caves and a salt pan nearby. We should keep helping each other through these harder times.

The quiet and chance to relax among nature were a real pleasure at Ioana Geanina Iliescu guesthouse in Horezu. Our rooms were spacious and exceptionally clean, and the hosts were kind and helpful the whole time. Leaving was hard. I highly recommend staying here if you're after a restful break.

The yard is lovely, clearly looked after with a lot of care, and has a gazebo with barbecue, a table, a sunbed and play equipment for little kids. The host is welcoming, warm, calm and discreet. Inside, the room has a rustic look mixed nicely with modern touches, and the kitchen is spotless and equipped with everything you'd need to cook. The big balconies are a nice place to step out and listen to the morning sounds. Everything was top notch.
