Luxury Studios Newton by GLAM

The view from the window was great, even though I didn’t take any photos of the apartment itself. We had a parking space, and the building was nice, with a playground. The location was good, close to the ILD and the city center. We loved the apartment. It was clean, with fresh linens and towels, and had a comfortable terrace. The host welcomed us warmly and explained everything. I highly recommend staying here.

The rooms are superb, though the scenery brings down the overall impression.

We’d booked through Booking.com for the first time, and that room was decent, relatively clean, and close to the center. Since we planned to spend a week in the city and liked it there, we booked and paid directly for another night. That was our mistake. When we came back to Iasi, the apartment administrator said we’d be staying nearby, but in a different apartment. He gave us the address and said the door was open, so we could let ourselves in. What we found was awful. The apartment smelled bad and was dirty. The bathroom was covered in chemicals that hadn’t even been rinsed off, and the floor was sticky, as if someone had spilled champagne. There was chewing gum stuck to the bed, and it had so much dust on it that it clearly hadn’t been there just a short time. The kitchen was greasy and dirty too. The whole apartment was smeared with something that seemed to be for cockroaches or ants. There were three of us, but they hadn’t provided a single set of linens for one person. At that price, someone would have had to sleep without a pillow or blanket. When we called, the administrator first said, “well, look for it, I don’t know, I don’t have it,” and then acted as if he didn’t understand English well. I don’t recommend it. We had a hard night in terrible conditions, and paid a lot for it.

We’ve been coming to Iasi for work for three years and have stayed at Glam each time. The staff are very friendly and will even help out if you don’t know the city. The apartments are very clean. I recommend it with confidence. Have a pleasant vacation.
