We were left waiting at the door in the wind and snow after the host failed to arrive at the agreed time to rent us the apartment. I called around 30 times, but he never answered. There was no apology later, or any explanation about what might have happened. If he'd simply told us there was a problem or that he couldn't offer the apartment, we could have made other arrangements instead of losing so much time waiting. Thankfully, I found somewhere else, and it was newer, more spacious, lovely, and closer to the center. I can't make sense of that kind of impudence. He let us down, and I don't recommend him. 😒

The “gentleman” wouldn't answer when we arrived at the apartment. We spent two hours waiting outside the building in -7° weather with four children, then had to find somewhere else to stay. So insensitive!!!

The Palace of Culture is about a 17-minute walk away, and public transport stops plus two shops open around the clock are right by the building. The room had everything needed for a stay of a few days or even longer, including a kitchenette for cooking, and the bed was comfortable for me. There are parking spaces nearby, but none are reserved. They fill up somewhat in the evening, though it looks like street-side parking is possible. With the window open, mornings can be a little noisy because the room faces a main road, but I didn't find it bothersome.

The apartment was clean and tastefully decorated, and the host had thought of the details and provided what we needed. It was a great stay in a quiet block, not too far from the city center. I'd definitely recommend it.
