Szilvia Vendégház

The setting was beautiful, with forest all around us, and we could sit under the covered barbecue in the yard and listen to the stream even when it rained. The house was spacious and extremely well equipped, down to the freshly ground coffee. Our host was helpful throughout, showed us everything in detail, and welcomed us with homemade bread, cookies, and blueberry pálinka. He also suggested hiking routes that suited us. Kormos deserves a mention too, a friendly, loyal, well-behaved dog who knew when to give us space and came along on every walk. It was a surprisingly lovely weekend, and now we want to take more trips like this.

We’re a group from Craiova and spent a week here in August 2020. The peace, nature, relaxing setting, and all the amenities made for a lovely stay, and the hosts were very welcoming. There’s also a holiday home in the yard, and the Szilvia house is a duplex with separate owners. That setup is why I’m taking off one star. I’d especially recommend the place to people who enjoy nature and want to get away from big-city bustle. Thanks to the owner!

This was our third visit to Szilvia Guesthouse, and it still felt like coming to a welcoming, spotless home with everything needed to feel at ease. Mr. Csaba was just as kind and friendly as before, greeting us like friends with fresh warm bread, a hearty meal, and something sweet. Thank you, we’ll be back!!!

A quiet spot by the river that runs through the yard, great for relaxing. There’s a barbecue area, discus, a cauldron for food lovers, and even a sauna for those who want it. It can host up to 12 people, with room enough for several families. The host deserves only good words. I recommend it with confidence!
