Pensiunea Heracleea

Fruit trees and birdsong give the place a relaxed feel, though the birds start up at 05.30. It’s mostly quiet and easy to find, but there’s a very loud unpaved road close by. The town is just a short walk away, and there’s a large parking area in front of the pension, outside the property. Rooms are simple rather than fancy, but cheap and practical. Every room has a bathroom, and there’s a kitchen for cooking. Food is also available on request. Not a bad place at all if you’re after somewhere laid-back.

The hostess was very kind, and the trees make the grounds lovely. The rooms stayed cool even during hot summer days and were clean. When we come back to Jurilovca, we’ll definitely choose Heracleea again.

A pleasant garden, though you’ll want to be okay with mosquitoes if you plan to enjoy a cold beer there in the evening. The hosts were warm, the rooms decent, and there was hot water all the time. It’s a good base for fishing, with the nearby lakes and Danube Delta a fisher’s paradise.

Fresh, tasty fish and very friendly service. The outdoor area was lovely too, with a neat green yard and roses.
