Cartagena Apartments

The staff were extremely kind and quick to respond when we needed anything. The apartment was beautifully furnished in a tasteful modern style, and very clean. We especially liked the quality appliances and the individual central heating, which let us set the temperature just how we wanted. It’s in a quiet, safe area close to the beach and a supermarket. Everything was impeccable, and we’ll definitely come back.

We were surprised as soon as we arrived: instead of a room with a bathroom and kitchen, they gave us an apartment at no extra cost. They explained that it was the end of the season and the apartment was available. The building has an elevator, and we were on the second floor. Everything was spotless and smelled fresh, from the rooms to the perfect linen. The kitchen was especially well organized and had everything we needed. On previous trips we’d packed frying pans, cups and dishes from home because we expected the kitchen to be missing things, but this time we didn’t have to. There was a coffee maker and two coffee capsules, a fridge, hob, frying pan, saucepan, plates, dishes, cups, glasses, toaster, salt and pepper. Both rooms had a TV, and there was air conditioning in the living room. The balcony had a table, two chairs and a clothes dryer. The bathroom was practical and fully stocked, with a hairdryer in the cabinet under the sink, immaculate towels, liquid soap, toilet paper, shower gel, shampoo and a bath mat. The beach was only five to ten minutes away at most. I have nothing to complain about with the hosts. It’s clear they care about guests’ comfort, and I can’t wait to return next year.

We stayed off-season, so breakfast wasn’t available. It’s a hotel with apartments and rooms for two. Our apartment was large, clean and warm, but the central heating made an infernal noise every time it switched on.
