The WiFi in our apartment didn't work, and the rooms looked upscale but had plenty of things that were poorly made or not working. Hot water was missing too. When we raised it at reception, we were told nothing could be done. The receptionist was rude and talked down to us, and communication was difficult. Staff didn't know English and relied on Google Translate, often just showing us the text and making faces instead of reading it. We had six people in one apartment but were given only one key. When it went missing, they had to break the door open because they had no spare, then charged us for the door. The parking area was very small, and not a good fit for a big car or anyone who doesn't want to park in sand. Each remote had only two batteries, so we kept swapping them between the TV and AC remotes. All four apartments our group rented made for a horrible stay. The only pleasant, English-speaking person was the man they hired to break open the door. I wouldn't recommend staying here unless you have nerves of steel or don't mind paying a lot for poor service.
The rooms were nice, though there wasn't any toilet paper. The area may be pleasant once the buildings are finished, but for now the walk to the beach goes through a construction site. We had booked two flats, and at check-in I was told the 200 RON deposit would be returned at checkout. It hadn't been mentioned when we booked. Reception was closed at 6 AM, so I contacted them on WhatsApp. Instead of returning the money, they placed two more holds, leaving 600 RON blocked and unavailable to me. They said it was an error and that they had spoken with their bank. They couldn't send it by PayPal because the funds were only blocked, but I still couldn't use them. I had to wait up to three business days for the money to be available again. I hadn't authorized those two additional blocked payments, and for those three days I was without 122 Euros.
The rooms looked lovely, and the staff were nice. It's a brand-new building by the sea. Water, including cold water, ran out every night from about 6 to 8 PM. It also took around 15 minutes to walk to the main beach bars and clubs.
The room had a large crack between the bedroom and living room, and part of the wall beside the balcony door was unfinished, with its inside exposed. There were lots of spiders on the balcony, which I hate, and nowhere to put the rubbish during our stay. My family and I booked through a travel agency, which promised a hot tub, daily room cleaning, and a private beach with two sunbeds included, all free. None of those services were provided. We could use the private beach, but it was filthy, with rubbish, seaweed, and shells that cut my feet. I had to drive to a different, cleaner beach each time. I expected the room to be cleaned at least once every two days, even if not daily, but it never was. There was no toilet paper, no dishwasher detergent, and no laundry service. A brochure in the room listed those same facilities. When I asked the room manager, he said it was outdated and no longer reflected what they offered. So why had the travel agency and that supposedly outdated brochure both listed them? The hotel service was poor, and the place was expensive for what little it provided. Parts of the hotel, the parking area, and the surrounding grounds were still under construction. I can't say I was satisfied with the hotel, though luckily my family and I could still enjoy the sea at another beach.
I'm a kid, but I can still tell they tried to make this place look perfect and it isn't. Wires hang down going nowhere, and there's an exposed wire in the bathroom. One cupboard door had writing on it, and the door handle was broken. The bed shifts if you sit on it the wrong way. Aside from that, the hotel is nice.
