Casa Eriana

We were comfortable at Casa Eriana, and it suited us as a family with a baby. We stayed August 21-28, 2020, and could get to the beach in about 10-15 minutes on foot or five minutes by car. Navodari has grown, though not in a very organized way: some places are clean, while others are strewn with rubble and weeds. Before we arrived, the owners answered our questions about the facilities, and they stayed in touch while we were there. The AC, TV, fridge, and bathroom fittings all worked. They changed the towels and linen daily, and cleaned when asked. If we come back to Navodari, we’ll probably stay at Casa Eriana again. Thanks for hosting us.

After nine years of staying at Casa Eriana, this visit left us very disappointed with the owners. We booked and paid last September, but we won’t be returning to these owners at Casa Eriana or Villa Curcubeu. It feels like they just want easy money. We were put in the attic apartment. The stairway from the first floor up had a strong, unpleasant smell, and I suspected someone had smoked in the apartment. We don’t smoke and had two small children with us, and there wasn’t enough ventilation. The windows had no screens, so opening them meant letting in mosquitoes. In past years, when we rented one of the eight rooms, there was mosquito repellent and tablets on the fridge every day. This year, it seemed like the price increases had affected us more than we expected. Previously, the room and bathroom were cleaned daily, and linen was changed when needed. This time, although someone entered the apartment while we were out, there wasn’t even a broom. Our little girl vomited twice one night. We were used to the daily cleaning from earlier visits, so we didn’t call the owners about it. When we got back from the beach the next evening, we found dirty underwear in the bathroom. The owners were very upset when we asked for clean ones, and gave us colored underwear instead of the white ones we’d had before. They told us clearly not to leave the air conditioning on when we went out because it used too much electricity and didn’t need to run “all the time.” The shower pressure was too low, and although the apartment had a bathtub, there was no plug to use it.

We felt so welcome at Casa Eriana. The hosts were warm and paid attention to what guests needed, and the place was comfortable, close to the beach, and reasonably priced. It made for a lovely stay. We’ll definitely be back. Thanks for your hospitality, I’d happily recommend it.

We had a really good stay and would definitely come back. There’s a playground, and the yard is enclosed so children can play freely. We came with kids aged four and seven, and chose this place for the kitchen access and its position relative to the beach we wanted. The people were welcoming, and it was clean, with no blocked showers. The room had a big bed with a comfortable mattress, a roomy wardrobe, a spacious bathroom, working air conditioning, and a fridge. Towels were changed daily, and I was surprised to find the sheets changed halfway through the week. Parking is right in front of the guesthouse. Some people said it was chaotic, but there’s space for at least 20 cars, and I never had to hunt for a spot. The only minor issue was that the internet didn’t reach our room, but that was the least of our worries. Conditions felt in line with the stars on the sign. I took a few photos on the day we left to recommend the place, and hope the owner doesn’t mind. If they do, they can tell me and I’ll remove them. For anyone after a quiet stay with normal facilities, I’d recommend it.
