Hanul Piratilor Camping Village

There are major hotel construction projects between the camp and the sea, so don't count on a sea view or rely on the website photos. We arrived in the evening and the police were already there dealing with a dispute between guests and staff. That, along with the recent reviews, should have been a warning. It was past check-in time (19:00), so we were told to return the next day. In the morning, staff said we couldn't camp because we didn't have a "camper," even though our VW T4 had a bed and kitchen. They gave no further explanation and wouldn't discuss it.

We stayed with a camper during the pandemic. The place was green, clean, and uncrowded, with all the amenities we needed. The downside is all the construction sites along the sea in Mamaia Nord.

A good escape from the concrete jungle, with cozy little houses, a pleasant landscape, and all the utilities you need. The price was affordable too. 10/10, I'd come again.

The bungalows are clean, and the cleaning service is excellent. I wouldn't recommend the restaurant, though: breakfast has only two options, and there's almost nothing available for lunch or dinner.
