Having the restaurant, pools, playgrounds, and rooms close together is a real help when you’re traveling with kids. Just keep an eye on little ones near the restaurant pool. The beach is cleaned carefully and the managers check it themselves each evening, so it’s ready for guests the next morning. This has been our family’s best summer choice for eight years, and we’re glad to see the place kept up and improving. The restaurant staff were excellent this year: young, polite, attentive, well trained, and quick to respond. In past years they seemed sleepier than us at breakfast :D, so the change in their energy and professionalism stood out. One kind moment especially stuck with us. The head waiter was at the bar at 7 a.m., before opening, getting the espresso machine ready and helping us with warm milk for the kids. It was a small thing, but it meant a lot.

The kids had entertainment, the pools were good, and the sea was perfect for them. There’s parking for all the guests, and the hotel sits in a less crowded part of Mamaia Nord, with buildings spaced farther apart than in the rest of the area. The rooms were clean and big, and the staff were nice. Food was fresh and fine for the area. We had a good stay, with good food, and I’d recommend it for families. I hope the service doesn’t slip. I’m writing this to help clients like me choose, not to give them a reason to raise prices.

The family-friendly idea is nice, but the place needs to improve what it offers or bring the prices in line. The design feels kitschy, and the strong smell of very cheap detergent was overwhelming. Our lunch order was delayed, and the fish soup was a letdown, mostly vegetable soup with just traces of fish. At these prices, I expected more.

We were happy with our stay overall, despite a few minor disturbing situations. The hotel is in a great spot by the beach, with sunbeds provided, and the staff were helpful and nice. I’d rate our vacation a solid 9+.
